Sloppy Heads, tk, Little Black Egg

Sloppy Heads - shambling/pretty, structured/disintegrating

tK - (Phil Milstein, Heather Kapplow & Thalia Zedek) causes situations in which everyday aural experience is distended from its natural function. By applying arbitrary manipulations, new functions and contexts are undertaken. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is mutilated and all possible interpretations are quashed.

Natica, Zanna Du, The Azures

Natica is for the people who walk their own paths. Born and raised in Queens, NY, NATICA channels the borough’s DIY-attitude to carve out her own path as a vocalist, songwriter, and podcaster. Born out of necessity as a third culture kid, she walks a path between her many worlds. It’s a path that’s somewhere between analog and digital, in front of and behind the camera, and inside the booth and behind the board. Her debut EP Awakening marks the start of her journey on this path, and hopes to inspire people to do the same in their lives.

Zanna Du NYC psychedelic rock band

The Azures four-piece psychedelic blues band from Central Jersey, influenced heavily by the Delta era of original southern rock as well as all the wild shit that went down in the 70's like The Doors and Jefferson Airplane. Please enjoy the music! Caio

Country Westerns + Prison

Country Westerns - “depressing songs with fun drums” FFO Dwight Twilley, Dead Moon, Wipers, The Saints, replacements, Green On Red

Prison - Paul Major (Endless Boogie), Sarim Al- Rawi (Liquor Store), Matt Leibowitz, Mike Donovan (Sic Alps), Matt Lilly, who knows who else will show up! Freedom is the goal for Rockaway Beach’s very own state of mind jam band. Everybody’s got their point of view and one slamming riff at a time unites all of them: five guys, four vocals, three guitars melded together outrageously in a craft that runs on it’s own rock and roll synergy, and lots of it.

Dan Friel + John Bohannon w Animal Surrender (Peter Kerlin & Rob Smith)

Dan Friel + J.R. Bohannon: Debut collaboration between synth/electronics experimentalist Dan Friel (Parts & Labor, Upper Wilds) and pedal steel/guitar wizard J.R. Bohannon

Animal, Surrender!: Peter Kerlin (Sunwatchers and Chris Forsyth & Solar Motel Band) and drummer Rob Smith(Grey/Smith, Rhyton, Pigeons, D. Charles Spear). Kerlin leads the duo through a set of bass-driven compositions and interpretations, incorporating spare electronics through a post-rock/weird-folk trance with intricate and sometimes blasted interplay between the rhythm section. The project’s title refers to the ambiguous creatureliness of the human animal: How in trying to kill the animal within we eradicated all wildness on the planet; How in our never-ending evasion of any discomfort we guaranteed the destruction of all that sustains us. It's about other things too, like falling outs among friends and how even if it's the end it's not the end. Their self-titled debut will be released on Ernest Jenning Records in May 2024.
